In an article published by the Canada Immigration Newsletter, ‘Immigration to drive Canada’s population growth at global birth rates fall’, it’s clearly shown that Canada will need more immigrants in the future. The statistics indicates the fluctuation of the global population and also expects to have some decreases starting in the late 21st century.
The study by ‘the lancet’ expects that Canada’s population to peak at 45.2 million and would depend entirely on immigration system.
For example, in 2019, 82% of the population growth was from the arrival of the immigrants, where only the 18% of it was from new births.
It’s obviously shown that we will need more and more immigrants to be stronger as a country.
Canada is a multicultural nation and there are a number of pathways through which people typically enter Canada. There are federal ad provincial level supported programs available, as well as family sponsorships programs.
Also, the immigrants working in healthcare or related areas are exempt for the 14-day quarantine policies of the government. Even this approach shows the need of the country for the immigrants.
