It’s always thought that Canada’s immigration system is created mostly for the developing countries. However, according to an article published on “Canada Immigration Newsletter’ U.S immigration to Canada is skyrocketing.
The statistics indicates that only in 2019 there were more than 10,000 residents immigrated to Canada through Canada’s worldwide express entry system which mainly manages skilled worker applications. The author gives 3 major reasons for the reason of this rise:
1. U.S. residents are fluent in English and most have high levels of education and work experience they get high score in the Comprehensive Ranking SYStem.
2. the global talent stream that enables employers in Canada to bring foreign tech workers in about one month
3. The uncertainty surrounding U.S. immigration policy
Express entry application has conditions that make people eligible to immigrate to Canada as age, education, language skills, and work experience.
Every two weeks IRCC holds express entry draws inviting candidates with the highest scores to apply permanent residence.
Last but not least, there are Provincial Nominee Programs available based on the provinces’ labour market needs.
